Large rectangular lacquer box. Decorated on a red background sprinkled with fine gold dust with maple leaves and cherry blossoms in gold and silver.
The box and lid with metal rim. The interior is decorated in nashiji with a decorative gold motif of Rimpa-style waves.

Taisho-Showa period. First half of the 20th century
