Sakezuki with Mount Fuji

A red lacquer sake cup (sakezuki) decorated with hiramaki-e (light relief) in gold lacquer. The decorative design depicts Mount Fuji and the Miho Peninsula, famous for its thousands of pine trees and its 7 km long beach (Miho no Matsubara). Some boats are depicted in the distance on the sea.
