Small incense holder

A small incense holder (kogo) decorated with two feathers made with the togidashi technique on a roironuri lacquer (glossy black lacquer) background. Togidashi consists of drawing the decorative motif with colored and gold lacquer, when it is dry it is covered with black lacquer which is burnished to reveal the underlying design.
