Bronze mirror

Large cast bronze mirror (approx. 6 kg). The reflective side is silvered and partially worn.
The back is decorated with the auspicious depiction of cranes, two minogames (mythical seaweed-tailed turtles), bamboo, pine and plum (shōchikubai) and a five-stars mon. This type of mirror was placed on a lacquered wooden support. Mirrors of this size are particularly rare today.
