Two volumes with seventy-eight pages illustrated with patterns from hand-printed textiles of India and Southeast Asia called sarasa. These fabrics were held in high esteem in Japan since the seventeenth century and collected especially as accessories for the tea ceremony. The first volume of this work begins with an introduction of the famous Kyoto painter Tomioka Tessai (1837-1924) with his unique calligraphic style.
